Abstract style (INT)

Image
Our task was to find new functions from chains and tables by combining them without putting their main use and function into consideration.  So in my group, we decided to put the dest in the vertical form and consider it as a board like the one we use in the classroom.  After that, we put two desks wan with an estimated 45-degree angel next to each other in a mirror position, exactly like a shelter.    Then we started to use chairs in this combination and complete our shelter, which can be used by people who need to be protected from wind and rain.  We put six chairs next to each other and two more chairs on them, then put these eight seats between two desks with 45-degree desks. after that, we completed the new structure with another desk.    This task reminds me that materials can be used in many ways, from what they are created for, to any other places that they can be used.

Review 24/03/23

As a review, we were told that put our previous images from all we had done in this course on a sheet with a specific matrix, which is inspired by an algorithm that can illustrate the process more intelligibly. In this poster I amied on tourists attractiones in my site, the key to portsmouth's local economy with  around £600million annually and supporting around 12,000 jobs opportunitues which are connected to this industry . Most of these places are located in the southwest part of the Portsmouth. The most famous tower in this city, is Spinnaker Tower, which is the symbole of the Portsmouth. Aroud the Spinnaker, we have Gunwharf Quays Shopping Outlet Center which contains many famous clothing brands and Vue Cinema, Hollywood Bowl and some restaurants with see view. Near the Spinnaker, GoYatching can rent private boats to tourists which could be a special experience. In the northern part of Spinnaker, there is an important station which connects the railway to the seaway. Bu...

VR experience (INT)

Image
In that session, we had a chance to put on a Virtual Reality headset and sketch in a new world which was so interesting.     Then I tried to made some sketches from others body movement while they were working with VR, which made me think more about the connection between their moves and what they imagin and trying to draw in Gravity Sketch, obviously they were confused at their first VR experience but after a few moments, they did drawing more fluency.                                               I believe this technology develops the connection which is exciting between an architect and their site while they can draw all that they imagine and  their ideas could be easily seen before they become real by solid materials.  By using these tools, we can make our sites and bring all kinds of objects into it  without any limits   w...

Mapping the site

Image
One of the most important parts of designing a building, is knowing its site analysis which is containing lots of factors. In this task, we have to map our site while thinking about any details separately. I did my mapping by using layering method. Here is my site which is determined by a yellow line.  Then I showed the green areas which contain parks, sports grounds and all trees and grass arenas in my site. Abviously they own a large portion in this map.    Most of these green spaces are using for sport purposes which are mapped by pink colour. These sport fields are organising by sport centers. I showed their buildings and fields all together by red colour. After that, plases which are using for resdetial purposes are showed in my map by purple colou. mostly they are located in the southern side of my site. Blue parts are refering to buisiness and commercial places which are playing the most important role in the Portsmouth's economy. In the middle of the commercial ar...
